Get to Know The absolute ascent
In 2026, Andrej Glavnik will begin a race to the top of the world — an attempt to break the world record as the youngest and fastest person to travel from the lowest human-accessible point on Earth to the highest. The journey starts at the Dead Sea and continues entirely through human-powered effort: cycling, trekking, and climbing all the way to the summit of Mount Everest. No machines. No shortcuts.
This is the first attempt in history to complete this ascent from the Nepal side using only human-powered movement — a challenge that redefines endurance, possibility, and what it means to push beyond limits.

THE WAY
THE CYCLE
In the Cycle Phase you will see me peddle over 7,000-kilometres from Dead sea in Jordan, heading across Middle easet & Asia into Nepal.
THE TREK
In the second phase you will see me cover over 100-kilometres on foot, from Lukla airport to EBC
THE CLIMB
In the third and final phase you will see me set foot on Mt. Everest and climb to the top of the world.
My name is Andrej Glavnik
From a young age, I always felt the need to set myself apart — to chase something bigger than comfort or routine. Over time, I learned that it’s not really about me at all. This journey is larger than one person.
Absolute Ascent is for every teenager with a dream and for everyone who’s been knocked down more times than they can count.
This climb is bigger than me — and that’s exactly why it matters.
