Kilimanjaro 2022

In 2022, I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa at 5,895 meters. Unlike my Himalayan climbs, Kilimanjaro tested a different kind of endurance — long, sustained elevation gain over varied terrain, from rainforest to alpine desert to the icy summit crater.

Reaching the top at sunrise, with the glaciers glowing in the morning light, defined a new milestone in my progression as a high-altitude athlete. Kilimanjaro reinforced my ability to adapt quickly to altitude, manage pacing over multi-day ascents, and maintain discipline across long, relentless summit pushes.
It was a climb that strengthened my confidence and confirmed that the larger objectives ahead were not only possible — but within reach.
