Mont Blanc

In 2024, I climbed Mont Blanc, the highest peak in Western Europe at 4,808 meters, via the classic Goûter Route. Often called a “non-technical” ascent, Mont Blanc proved to be anything but simple — the route demands focus, efficient movement, and the ability to perform under exposure and dynamic mountain conditions.

The ascent included the notorious Grand Couloir crossing, a steep climb to the Goûter Hut, and a pre-dawn summit push along narrow, icy ridges. The combination of altitude, cold winds, and sustained climbing made it a true test of endurance and mountaineering discipline.

Reaching the summit in clear conditions, with the Alps stretching endlessly beneath me, marked an important milestone — a climb that sharpened my alpine skills and strengthened my foundation for larger objectives in the Himalayas.
